After O-Week, the fraternities and sororities have this thing called “Rush Week” - that’s when you can learn more about the different sororities, and be “rushed”. The sororities “bid” on you, and if you get a bid from a sorority, you can join it.

I don’t go there, so I can’t give you a definite answer, but I’ve heard the same rumours as you have if that helps. And most of my friends at UofT have experienced similar things.

I’m pretty sure it depends on the sorority - but they’re pretty good about keeping their secrets, well, secret.

FYI, Rewd.ca isn't a "rumour mill". If you checked out the site you would realize that Rewd.ca consists of University Exclusives that campus media WILL NOT post, Top Student Tweets of the Week, University Hotties of the Week, Reviews, Dirty Laundry Column, Nail'd It Column, Sports, Rants, Music and more. It’s essentially a semi-glorified rumour mill. Good for entertainment value, but I wouldn’t trust what you read.

A roommate contract is something you and your roommate come up with that basically establishes boundaries. For example, you might agree that lights go out at a certain time at night, or that suspicious activities between a roommate and their significant other not occur while the other roommate is in the room, or if someone feels strongly, not in the room at all. You might want to include advanced notice for having guests stay over too. Things like that.
